Welcome to InvestOrderly

Overview

InvestOrderly is a free program that allows you to track your investments. You provides all primary data such as the names of the accounts and investments you have, the transaction details (date, investment, amounts, fees, etc) and the program uses these data to generates detailed reports with lots of insights about your investments. These reports include the total value of your investments per categories at various points in time, the asset allocation, etc.

Similar reports are sometimes available directly from your investment platform. The problem is that the scope of these reports are limited to the investments held with each platform, hence they provide a fragmented view of your portfolio. This program allows you to have a consolidated view across all your investments held with all your platforms. Also information about the purchase prices of stocks are often lost when you transfer investments from one platform to another. This program allows you to keep accurate records of all your past transactions even when you decide to switch to a different investment platform.

How it works

  • All data are stored locally on your computer hence your data remain completely private and under your full control
  • All data are stored in simple text files that are easy to understand and they can be stored in revision control systems
  • The programs reads the input data files provided by the user and generates the reports with all the processed information
